They say life’s too short to drink bad wine. We say your trip is too short to be planning on the run… so here is a quick guide to help you make the most of your visit to the Orange wine trails.

colla

1 – Pick your trail

Picking your trail is easy – visit one of our well-stocked wine bars and simply try a few glasses for yourself. Once you’ve found your favourite, you’ve also found your first winery!

Now find which trail it’s on, and you’re off. Each trail has a number of fantastic wineries and other activities for fun along the way.

2 – Prepare

A guide for each wine trail is available here and also in-person at the Orange Visitor Information Centre.

Have a quick flick through the different trails so you can see what each has to offer.

If you have any questions either drop into the Orange Visitor Information Centre or post a question directly to our Facebook page

3 – Call ahead

It’s always a good idea to call ahead and make sure the winery is open. Also, you can ask if they are serving food or if the winemaker is onsite to chat to you.

Our wineries will often advise the best time to visit, or open especially for you

4 – You don’t have to go it alone

Orange has a number of wine tour providers who can take you along the trails.

This way you can just concentrate on the business of tasting our amazing wine. Most tour operators have standard and custom tour packages for your convenience

5 – Make time for photos

Our wine trails are set amongst some beautiful countryside, from outback paddocks to picturesque mountains and lakes.

You will want to drink in the scenery as well. So pack your camera to capture those moments.
