Lord Admiral George Anson was a British Royal Navy Officer in the 17th and 18th Century. Widely respected, highly decorated and courageously adventurous, Lord Anson lead a squadron of eight ships on a circumnavigation of the globe 1740-1744 in service to the Kingdom of Great Britain. ?

With eight warships, two towns, and one street in Orange, NSW named after the famed Lord Admiral George Anson, The Lord Anson Public House is his latest honoured namesake. ?

The Lord Anson is Orange's newest venue, offering a classic, laid-back pub atmosphere.
